Q. When is the Great Cajun Crawfish Boil and where does it take place?
The Great Cajun Crawfish Boil will take place on Saturday, April 10th from 5-9 pm at the Ruben Romero Picnic Area in the Kiwanis Park.  The park is located in Tempe, AZ at 6111 S All American Way, where

Q. What is included in the price of a ticket?
Please see the tickets page for ticket levels and items included in each option.*

Q. I don't eat crawfish, will you have anything else?
We do offer a ticket that does not include boiled crawfish for those that do not eat them.  Please see the ticket page for details.*

Q. Will there be food for kids?
Kids are welcome to the same menu, but, we will also be serving hot dogs for them.  Of course, we encourage them to try the crawfish since we want share our love of crawfish with them at a young age.*

Q. I don't know how to eat crawfish, will someone teach me ?
Absolutely.  There will be enough people there from Louisiana to teach you that you will be sucking the heads and pinching the tails in no time. Or, check out this handy How to eat crawfish video to help you look like a Louisiana native before you get there.

Q. Where do the crawfish come from?  Will the crawfish be boiled on-site?
The crawfish will be shipped in from live from Louisiana and cooked on site by an award-winning Louisiana chef.

Q. Are there any vegetarian options?
The only items that do not contain meat or seafood are the side items that are cooked with the crawfish, ie corn, potatoes, mushrooms, onions & garlic.  Both jambalaya and the crawfish pasta contain either meat or seafood.  

Q. How do I purchase tickets?
Tickets must be purchased online and you must print your ticket and bring it with you to the event.  Please visit the Tickets page to purchase.

Q. What forms of payment do you accept?
We accept all major credit cards, including Visa, MasterCard, American Express & Discover.  We also accept checks, but payment by check must be received by March 29th.  Check order form removed as the deadline has passed.

Q. Will you be mailing tickets?
No
, you must print your ticket and bring it with you.  We will have a table to assist those of you that forget, but it will delay your entry.  Don't forget, your tickets were sent via email when you purchased your tickets online, the email was sent from orders@eventbrite.com. Please note this is not the receipt from paypal or the email confirmation from Cajun Cactus Foundation, the email with the tickets was sent from orders@eventbrite.com, the tickets were attached as a pdf and contain a bar code.  
 

If you do not have the original email containing your tickets, you can access your tickets by logging in to your Eventbrite Attendee Account at Eventbrite.com/login. An Attendee Account is automatically created for all attendees for the purposes of re-accessing tickets, viewing the order confirmation, and updating attendee information.  Click on forgot your password if you do not know your password.  If you are still not able to access your tickets, please email us at greatcajuncrawfish@yahoo.com and we will send them to you 

Q. Can I buy tickets at the door?
No.  In fact, ticket sales end Saturday, April 3rd.
Since we will be bringing the crawfish in live from Louisiana, we need to know how many pounds to purchase in advance and therefore can't sell tickets at the door.

Q. Where should I park?

Q. Is there lighting in the park?
Yes, the park does turn on the lights in the evening.

Q. Will there be music?
Yes, music will be provided by local DJ, and Louisiana native, David Hoyt of
EZ AZ DJ

Q. Will there be entertainment for kids? 
The Ruben Romero Picnic Area has a kids playground, 2 basketball courts, 2 sand volleyball courts and horse shoe pits.  So, bring your volleyball, basketball or horse shoes and enjoy this family-friendly environment.

Q. What happens if it rains?
While rain is rare in Arizona, there is always a chance it could occur.  Our policy is that refunds will not be issued should inclement weather present itself.  This event is planned in a park with covered seating, so you should be able to stay out of the weather and we should be able to tent the cooking areas if necessary.  If weather permits us to cook, either on-site or in an alternate covered location and transported, then the event will go on as planned.  Of course, we will also do our best to plan for weather in regards to boiling the crawfish and cooking the other menu items.

Q. What is you refund policy?
All sales are final. There are no cancellations, refunds, or exchanges regarding this sale.  If you are unable to attend, we can convert your ticket to a tax-deductible donation to the Cajun Cactus Foundation if you contact us prior to the event.

Q. Where do the proceeds go?
The proceeds go to the Cajun Cactus Foundation and the LSU Alumni Association, Phoenix Chapter.  The Cajun Cactus Foundation is a 501(c)3 non-profit whose mission it to unite Southerners living in the Valley, support Gulf Coast and Phoenix charities, and impart Southern charm, culture and hospitality.  The mission of the Phoenix chapter of the LSU Alumni Association is to bring both alumni and fans of LSU together in the spirit of camaraderie, community and philanthropy.  

Q. Is the price of the ticket tax-deductable?
The Cajun Cactus Foundation is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, so a portion of the price of your ticket is tax-deductible.  Please contact you tax advisor for more information.

Q. Does the Cajun Cactus Foundation also put on the Great Cajun Cook-off & Food Fest?
Yes, you may be familiar with the Cajun Cactus Foundation from the Great Cajun Cook-Off and Food Fest that takes place the first Sunday of each November in downtown Phoenix.
